John Charles “Jack” Viorel, a First Grade Teacher at St. Mary School in Wilmington, North Carolina, has been named by the Lewis Award Committee as the Recipient of the 2010-2011 Lewis Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The Award will be presented to Mr. Viorel at a Celebration Liturgy in his honor on April 13, 2011, at St. Mary Church in Wilmington. Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh, will be the Presider at the Liturgy, and Monsignor Gerald Lewis will be the Homilist.
