Mr. John Ruocchio, newest member of the Lewis Award Committee

Mr. John H. Ruocchio, a Raleigh resident and lawyer, has been appointed to the Lewis Award Committee for a term of four years, beginning July 1, 2012. Mr. Ruocchio was sent the Letter of Appointment to the Committee by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh.

Moving to Raleigh with his family in 1966, Mr. Ruocchio attended Our Lady of Lourdes School and Cardinal Gibbons High School. He received double BA degrees in Economics and Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill, and earned his Juris Doctor from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. He is a partner in the law firm of Lewis and Roberts, PLLC, in Raleigh, practicing in the field of Employment and Labor Law with a concentration in Workers Compensation Law.

Mr. Ruocchio recently completed two terms on the Board of Trustees of Cardinal Gibbons High School, where he served as Chair from 2006. Among his other civic and professional memberships, Mr. Ruocchio is a member of the NC and Wake County Bar Associations, the Knights of Columbus, and the Board of Directors of the Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center.

John and Kay Ruocchio are the parents of Thomas and Lily Ruocchio and are long term members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Raleigh.
